Georgia fell to No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25 College Football poll released on Sunday after suffering its first loss of the season.

Georgia (9-1) dropped a 40-17 decision to Auburn on Saturday. Georgia entered the game ranked No. 1 in the College Football Playoff Rankings and No. 2 in the AP poll. The Bulldogs previously clinched the SEC East title.

Alabama, a winner of Mississippi State, remained No. 1 in the AP poll.

The college football playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday.
