Florida State defensive tackle Eddie Goldman was injured on Georgia Tech’s first touchdown — a 1-yard run by Synjyn Days — and had to be taken off the field on a cart with an apparent injury to his right lower leg.
The blow was significant for the Seminoles who were already struggling to stop Tech’s run — the Jackets rushed for 141 yards and two touchdown drives in the first quarter. The junior is FSU’s best defensive lineman and projected as a potential first round pick in the NFL draft.
