One of the biggest names in UF football is coming back.

Chris Leak, the quarterback of the 2006 national championship team, is returning to the Gators as a quality control assistant. Florida coach Will Muschamp announced the addition Monday.

Leak, 28, threw for 11,213 yards and 88 touchdowns in four seasons at Florida. The yardage total is a program record, and he also is the all-time leader with 895 completions.

He has been hosting a show on SiriusXM. Prior to that, he spent a year in the Arena Football League and four in the Canadian Football League.

Leak was undrafted out of Florida and signed with the Chicago Bears in 2007. Chicago cut him early that season.
