Sony Michel and Nick Chubb both ran for over 100 yards as Georgia bounced back from a tough loss to Tennessee by beating South Carolina 28-14 on Sunday in Columbia, S.C.

The game was pushed back a day because of Hurricane Matthew.

The Bulldogs had just 29 passing yards, their fewest in a game since 1996. Freshman quarterback Jacob Eason was only 5 of 17 but Georgia simply relied on its running game.

Michel had 133 yards on 21 carries and Chubb rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman Brian Herrien had 82 yards rushing on nine carries as the Bulldogs piled up 326 yards on the ground.

Georgia is 4-2, 2-2 in the Southeastern Conference. South Carolina fell to 2-4, 1-4 in the SEC.

The Bulldogs host Vanderbilt Saturday.

Having proven in consecutive weeks that it's capable of being both bludgeoned (45-14 by Ole Miss) or falling to the sudden whims of evil football gods (Tennessee's Hail Mary), Georgia wasn't mandating dominance this week. The Bulldogs just needed a win and they got one.  Click here to read more.
