Chipper Jones to serve as honorary race official at Daytona 500

Chipper Jones will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in July.
Baseball Hall of Famer and Braves icon Chipper Jones will serve as an honorary race official at the Daytona 500, Fox announced Wednesday on Twitter.

His race-day duties will include and introduction at the drivers' meeting, a lap around the speedway in a parade car and a question-and-answer session with fans.
The announcement comes a day after the Daytona International Speedway announced Peyton Manning will drive the honorary pace car.
The Daytona 500 starts the 2018 NASCAR season at 3:05 p.m. Feb. 18 on Fox.
