Braves prospect Touki Toussaint pitched seven shutout  innings Thursday night as the Gwinnett Stripers beat the host Durham Bulls 5-0 in Triple-A baseball.

Toussaint allowed just three hits. He struck out eight and walked one.

Toussaint made one start for the Braves this season, giving up just two hits and one earned run.

Gwinnett third baseman Austin Riley hit his third home run of the five-game series in the first inning. It was his eighth of the season. Rio Ruiz also homered.

Toussaint (4-0) retired 14 straight batters before issuing a walk to Kean Wong with one out in the sixth. He then retired five of his final six batters.

Toussaint, rated as the Braves’ No. 7 prospect by MLB.com, lowered his ERA to 1.62.

Riley went 2-for-3 with a homer, two runs scored and an RBI, and Ruiz went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs.
