How the winning run scored: Jose Constanza led off the game with a double, then came around to score on Stefan Gartrell's RBI single. Immediately following the Gartrell hit, Ernesto Mejia hit his fourth home run of the season.

At the plate: Gartrell extended his RBI streak to five games.

On the mound: Jair Jurrjens ( 1-0) allowed two runs on five hits and struck out three hitters while walking one en route to his first victory with Gwinnett this season. All the damage off the right-hander occurred in the second inning, and he shut down the Charlotte hitting for the next six frames. Jurrjens finished with 95 pitches, 61 for strikes.

Up next for Gwinnett: Braves (19-10) host the Buffalo Bisons (17-13) at 7:05 p.m. Monday to start a four-game series. G-Braves right-hander Julio Teheran (2-1, 3.66) will oppose Buffalo righty Matt Harvey (2-1, 4.80) in a duel of top prospects. Monday all kids 12 and under will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips and a small soda.
