Longtime Florida State University football coach Bobby Bowden has died. Here are photos from Bowden's long college football career

Nov. 1, vs. Florida State: For the first time since joining the ACC, Florida State has not been picked to win the conference. College football's winningest coach, Bobby Bowden, brings experience to the Flats with senior quarterback Drew Weatherford and one of the best punt returners in the conference.

Florida State's Bobby Bowden and Paterno were in a longstanding race to see which coaching legend would end up with the most overall wins. Paterno came out on top with 409 and Bowden has 377. 12 of Bowden's wins were vacated by the NCAA and others at South Georgia Junior College are not counted.

Former Florida State football coach Bobby Bowden admits in an interview with USA Today on September 2011 that he was treated for prostate cancer in early 2007. The longtime Seminoles coach says he is now cancer free.

Bowden has 388 career victories, second only to Penn State's Joe Paterno among major college coaches.

The Seminoles have played in five national championship games under Bowden, winning two -- in 1993 and 1999.

Bowden has coached two Heisman winners and a number of highly regarded pros, including former Atlanta Falcon Warrick Dunn.

In his second season at Georgia, Mark Richt steered the Bulldogs to their first 13-win season. The Bulldogs finished the year ranked 3rd. The win over gave Richt his only win over his mentor, Bobby Bowden. Richt served 14 years on Bowden's staff at Florida State before moving to Georgia in 2001.
