Beach volleyball returns to Atlantic Station

Beach volleyball returns to Atlantic Station.

Holly McPeak, a member of the beach volleyball team at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, will be competing in the AVP Atlanta Open this weekend at Atlantic Station. McPeak, who is retiring after this season after 20 years on the Tour, gives us her top five reasons to attend the event.

1. Atlantic Station is a fun place to hang out.

2. The people in Atlanta are great sports fans.

3. Atlanta has plenty of terrific shopping and restaurants (Geisha House in Atlantic Station).

4. I love that my office is at the "17th Street Beach."

5. Women on the AVP Tour -- Kerri Walsh -- are a huge draw!

5. Women on the AVP Tour -- Misty May-Treanor -- are a huge draw!

(Oh, yeah, and the guys -- including Atlanta's Ty Loomis -- will play, too.)
