The Hawks wheeled and dealed and added new talent Thursday night in the NBA Draft.

The Hawks got a 7-footer by trading up one spot to take Brazil center Lucas Nogueira with the 16th overall pick.

Nogueira dwarfs commissioner David Stern.

The 20-year-old Lucas Nogueira, who weighs 225 pounds, is nicknamed ‘Bebe Gigant’ meaning Baby Giant.

Lucas Nogueira is averaging 5.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 13.3 minutes playing for Aesfa Estudiantes Madrid of the Spanish ACB League. This month he took part in the adidas Eurocamp at La Ghirada sports center in Treviso, Italy

Nogueira was drafted by the Celtics and traded to the Hawks.

Bucknell's Mike Muscala, a 6-foot-11 power forward, was selected 44th overall (14th pick, 2nd round) by the Dallas Mavericks and traded to the Hawks.

With the 50th overall pick, the Hawks drafted small forward James Ennis of Long Beach State. Ennis, 6-foot-7, 201 pounds, averaged 16.5 points, 2.1 assists and 6.7 rebounds per game in his senior season.
