It appears the Hawks will be without their starting point guard for a second straight game as the team listed Jeff Teague as doubtful for Saturday’s game at the Rockets.

Teague has been hampered by a strained left hamstring suffered in the first half of Monday’s win over the Bulls. He missed Wednesday’s victory over the Cavaliers, a game the Hawks won in a 127-98 rout.

If Teague is unable to play, it will mark only the sixth game he has missed due to injury in his five-plus year career.

Teague leads the Hawks in scoring (16.8 points) and assists (7.0).

Dennis Schroder started in place of Teague against the Cavaliers. The second-year guard had 10 points and 10 assists. It marked the fourth time in Hawks history that player posted a point-assist double-double in his first start with the team. Schroder joins Bob Sura, Spud Webb and Armond Hill. Shelvin Mack also played point guard in Teague’s absence and posted a career-high 24 points. Combined, the Hawks got 34 points and 13 assist from the position.

The Hawks remain in Texas and play the Mavericks Monday.
