Edy Tavares had 17 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for the Austin Spurs in an NBA Development League assignment game on Sunday.

The rookie center started and played 21 minutes in the 101-95 win at the Oklahoma City Blue.

Tavares had less success in a 113-107 loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Friday night. He battled foul trouble and finished with three points, two rebounds and two blocks in 16 minutes.

Tavares has appeared in six games in three D-League stints. He has averaged 10.0 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 22 minutes.

Tavares will likely be recalled to the Hawks as the Austin Spurs are off until Dec. 27.
