Soon-to-be Hawks player Allen Crabbe was arrested on a DUI charge early Wednesday in California.

According to the arrest report, Crabbe was cited in West Hollywood on the Sunset Strip by the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department at 1 a.m. A $5,000 bail was set.

A Hawks spokesman declined comment as Crabbe is not officially a member of the team. Earlier this month, the Hawks agreed to a trade with the Nets for Crabbe, sending Taurean Prince to the Brooklyn. Due to NBA rules, the trade cannot be official until at least July 6.

According to TMZ, which first posted a story on the arrest, Crabbe had a blood alcohol level of 0.08, which is exactly the legal limit in California.

Crabbe, 27, is entering the final year of his contract and is scheduled to make $18.5 million next season. The 6-foot-6 guard and six-year NBA veteran averaged 9.6 points last season for the Nets.
