Less than a week after the Dream’s last-second win over Chicago, the two teams will face off again Wednesday afternoon, this time in Chicago.

The Dream, who beat the Sky 74-73 on Friday on forward Angel McCoughtry’s jumper at the buzzer, are coming off a 73-64 loss Sunday to New York.

Wednesday, the Dream (3-5) will be again be without starting guard Tiffany Hayes, the team’s second-leading scorer, and reserve forward/center Aneika Henry, both at the 2015 European Games.

The Dream are 1-2 without Hayes and Henry and the duo will miss one more game after Wednesday’s contest.

Ahead of the Chicago game last week, the Dream signed point guard Sydney Carter and forward Cierra Burdick, who scored 11 points against the Sky in her WNBA debut. Burdick, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks this April, continued her good play Sunday with four points and seven rebounds.

“Coach (Michael) Cooper wanted me to come in and get some rebounds, so I just tried to crash the boards as hard as I could,” Burdick said Sunday. “I hate that we lost, but we’ve just got to continue to grow as a ball club.”

Carter has played extensively as Cooper searches for a reliable floor general. Second-year player Shoni Schimmel, an All-Star point guard last season, hasn’t started the past six games.
