Hawks reserve forward Mike Scott had four points and three rebounds in 15 minutes of an NBA Development League assignment game with the Delaware 87ers on Tuesday night. The Santa Cruz Warriors won the game, 116-102, played in Newark, Delaware.
Scott came off the bench and also had one block and one turnover. He was 2 of 7 from the field and 0 of 4 from 3-point range. He is expected to play at least one more game with Delaware, who play at the Westchester Knicks on Thursday.
Scott agreed to the D-League assignment as he returns from a non-surgical procedure on his left knee that kept him out of the first 18 games of the season. He is said to be completely healthy.
“Mike has worked extremely hard to return to full health after missing training camp and the early part of the season,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “In discussing with Mike how he could get himself back in game shape and contributing to the team faster, we agreed that the best way would be to do an assignment with Delaware where he could play meaningful, competitive minutes.”
