Mike Scott did not practice Wednesday, a day before the Hawks are to open the regular season.

The forward has dealt with a sore left knee that limited him during training camp.

“He has a little bit of a knee thing that we are trying to monitor and gain more information on,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said.

Scott appeared in four exhibition games this preseason and scored 16 points in 44:23.

The Hawks carried an extra frontcourt player on their final roster because of injury, most notably to backup center Tiago Splitter. However, Scott’s knee could also be a concern.
