A brief recap of the Hawks’ first example of back-to-back losses since Nov. 5-7:

How the game was won: Toronto, the team nearest the Hawks in the NBA's Eastern Conference standings, blew away Atlanta with a 28-13 third quarter that was the Hawks' worst of the season. That gave the Raptors a 3-1 series edge for the season after a game that wasn't competitive after halftime.

Paul Millsap, Kyle Korver and Jeff Teague each scored 11 points, but they combined to make just 11-of-37 shots, including 2-of-12 in the third period, when Atlanta made just 3-of-19 shots.

Former Hawk Lou Williams, who scored 22 points when the Raptors won 126-115 in Atlanta on Nov. 26, led all scorers with 26 points off the bench.

Turning point: The Hawks (43-12) trailed 49-45 at halftime before the game blew up in their faces in the third quarter as Toronto (37-17) outscored Atlanta 14-3 off of turnovers. The Hawks had five shots blocked in the period, and turned the ball over nine times.

Number:33: Atlanta shot just 33 percent (29-of-88), a season low (under cutting their 36.7 percent effort in a 107-77 home loss to Milwaukee on the day after Christmas.

Next: The Hawks will play at Milwaukee Monday.
