The Boston Celtics introduced former Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford, who is set to sign a four-year, $113 million deal - the biggest free-agent contract in Celtics franchise history.

Al Horford agreed to a four-year, $113 million deal with the Celtics as an unrestricted free agent, ending nearly 10 years with the Atlanta Hawks.

Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck referenced the blank championship banner hanging in the team's Waltham, Mass., training facility during Friday's press conference introducing Al Horford. Grousbeck hinted that Horford was a key piece in bringing another title to Boston. The Celtics have not been to a conference final since 2012.

Former Atlanta Hawks forward Al Horford was introduced Friday in Boston where the Celtics brass made references to Horford's winning attitude and his appreciation of "Celtics Pride."

Of adding Horford, Ainge said: Right now, it definitely makes us better than we were last year. ... The addition of Al makes us a better team for sure, with his versatility, experience, leadership that we’ve all talked about today."

Al Horford holds up his new Boston Celtics No. 42 jersey. He wore No. 15 in Atlanta. Horford said of his decision to leave Atlanta: "I like the direction that I saw when I met with [the Celtics]. I felt comfortable. I felt confident in the potential and what can be."
