Payne posts double-double in D-League action
Hawks first-round pick Adreian Payne had 19 points and 15 rebounds for Fort Wayne in a NBA Development League loss to Delaware, 124-115, Friday night.
Payne started at center. He was 8 of 17 from the field in 37 minutes.
John Jenkins, a Hawks’ 2012 first-round pick also on assignment, finished with 20 points. The shooting guard came off the bench and was 9 of 15 from the field in 21 minutes. He added five rebounds.
The game was the first of six in 10 games for Fort Wayne. The Mad Ants play again Saturday at Sioux Falls.
