Second-round draft pick Lamar Patterson, under the watchful eye of two Hawks representatives, scored 16 points for Tofas Bursa in a 91-83 win over Besiktas Integral Forex Saturday in Turkey.

Patterson, who started at guard, was 4 of 5 from the field, including 2 of 3 from 3-point range. He also added five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Members of the Hawks’ Basketball Operations staff often travel overseas to watch players of whom they hold rights.

Hawks representatives will also plan to travel to Spain this year to watch fellow second-round pick Edy Tavares. The center is playing in the ACB League for Herbalife Gran Canaria, who will play Labor Kutxa Baskonia Sunday.
