- The Hawks play the Pistons for the fourth and final time. They won two of the first three against Detroit, the most recent a 94-79 win at Detroit on Feb. 14.
- Hawks forward Josh Smith averaged 25.0 points per game in the first three against Detroit.
- Detroit has won its past two after going 3-11 in its previous 14 games. The Hawks have beaten the Pistons five consecutive games at Philips Arena.
- Other than Detroit forward Jonas Jerebko, who has been out since the start of the season with a ruptured Achilles, neither team has players on its injury report.
