Paul Millsap was a nominee for the NBA’s Player of the Week award in the Eastern Conference for games played March 17-23. Former Hawks player Joe Johnson, now with the Nets, won the award in the East. The Thunders’ Kevin Durant was honored in the Western Conference.

It’s the first time Johnson won the award with the Nets. He won it six times with the Hawks. Johnson led the Hawks to a 4-0 record while averaging 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He made 14 of 24 3-pointers.

Millsap averaged 21.0 points and 7.5 rebounds as the Hawks went 2-2 for the week. Millsap was named Player of the Week in January.
