Paul Millsap did not play against the Suns Wednesday due to a left hip injury. The Hawks starting forward and leading scorer warmed up before the game before a final determination was made about his playing status.

The Hawks listed Millsap as questionable before the game. He was at the team’s morning shootaround but received treatment for much of the workout. Millsap suffered the injury in a fall against the Jazz last week. He has been playing through muscle soreness.

According to a team official, the injury is not long term.

Mike Muscala started in place of Millsap, his second start of the season.

Millsap played 35 minutes in the Hawks 105-100 loss at the Warriors Monday. He finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Millsap has started all 18 games. He has averages of 16.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks in 32.4 minutes.
