Kyle Korver expects a better second half of the season.

Recent results suggest the Hawks guard is returning to the form that has made him one of the best shooters in the NBA.

Korver’s shooting woes to start the season have been well-documented as he came off surgeries on his ankle and elbow and was unable to work out during the summer.

Over the first 35 games, Korver shot .337 (64 of 181) from 3-point range. This from the player that led the NBA in 3-point percentage three times in his career including each of the last two seasons. He shot .492 from long range last season.

Over the past 10 games, Korver is shooting .479 (23 of 48) from 3-point range. In the past three games, he is 10 of 15. That’s more like it. He has improved his season total to .380 (87 of 229).

Korver is currently 36th in the NBA in 3-point percentage. He trails teammates Kent Bazemore (.413) and Jeff Teague (.387) in the category.

Korver went 4-for-4 from 3-point range in Wednesday’s 85-83 loss to the Clippers. His final shot, on which he appeared to be fouled, gave the Hawks an 82-81 lead with 24.6 seconds remaining.

“Yes, I feel like it’s getting there,” Korver said after the game. “It’s been a really frustrating first half of the season. About New Year I felt it starting to click and getting a little better. I’ve been shooting a lot and trying to put the effort in to get back in track.

“I’m going to try to have a much better second half.”
