A Michigan teenager literally had the designer basketball shoes stolen right off his feet during a snowstorm. According to a local news report, the teen said that a bigger kid grabbed him, dropped him to the ground and ripped the shoes off his feet. He was forced to walk home barefoot in the snow.

When Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant learned that 13-year-old Anthony Cupp had worked all summer mowing lawns to buy a pair of his KD7’s, Durant knew he had to take action.

When the Thunder played in Detroit this weekend, Durant met up with Cupp and surprised him with a backpack stuffed with KD gear. Durant also replaced the stolen shoes with a pair of signed KD7 sneakers.

The new shoes should come in handy as Cupp just made the 8th-grade basketball team.
