Atlanta guard Joe Johnson made his third-straight NBA All-Star appearance.

Hawks guard Joe Johnson takes the court with the rest of the Eastern Conference team prior to the start of the 58th NBA All-Star Game. Johnson was appearing in his third straight All-Star game as a reserve.

Johnson took part in the H-O-R-S-E competition at the All-Star Block Party on Saturday. Johnson had only one letter in the competition won by Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant.

Along with teammate Mike Bibby (right), Johnson participated in the Rebuilding Together Project during the 2009 Day of Service as part of the All-Star Weekend. Players helped paint and refurbish an elementary school in Phoenix.

Joe Johnson dribbles during the East All-Stars practice. Johnson says his third All-Star game experience has been his best so far. "The first time you're caught up in the whirlwind," said Johnson. "The second time I just wanted to make sure I scored a little bit and didn't embarrass myself. But this time, I get to really dig in and act like I've been here before, because I have."

Johnson, an All-Star reserve, entered the game in the first half and drew the task of guarding the Hornets' Chris Paul. Johnson failed to score in 22 minutes on the court. He also had five turnovers.
