The Hawks announced Tuesday they have waived Ray Spalding, who signed with the team in July.

Spalding did not play in Monday’s exhibition loss to the Pelicans, ruled out with dental pain and a left calf strain. The move reduces the Hawks’ training-camp roster to 19.
