The Hawks announced Tuesday night they have waived Paul Watson, who they had signed to a 10-day contract Jan. 6, which opens up a roster spot.

Watson struggled to get much playing time during his time with the Hawks, going scoreless in a 13-minute stint in the loss in Brooklyn (0-6 FG) on Sunday and in a four-minute stint (0-1 FG) in the loss to Houston on Jan. 8.

Against Brooklyn, Watson had three assists, one rebound and a steal.
