The Hawks selected power forward Adreian Payne with the 15th overall selection in the NBA Draft Thursday night.

The selection gives the Hawks another stretch-four, a coveted player in the offensive system.

Payne (6-foot-10, 245 pounds) played four seasons at Michigan State. He averaged 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds as a senior while unknowingly playing with mononucleosis. He shot 44 of 104 (.423) from 3-point range.
