DeAndre Bembry had an impressive performance in his NBA Development League assignment with a game-high 35 points for the Salt Lake City Stars on Thursday night. The Hawks rookie started at guard and was 16-of-22 from the field in a 118-110 road loss to the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Bembry, the first-round pick, also had six rebounds, six assists, two steals and a highlight-worthy block in 35 minutes.

Hawks general manager Wes Wilcox was in attendance.

The Hawks recalled Bembry from the assignment Friday.

D-Fenders guard Josh Magette, who was the last player cut from Hawks training camp, had 18 points and 13 assists.
