Paul Millsap was a nominee for the NBA’s Player of the Week award for the period from Dec. 1-7.

The awards were won by the Raptors’ Kyle Lowry in the Eastern Conference and the Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge in the Western Conference. Lowry led the Raptors to a 2-1 week behind an NBA-best 29.3 points per game average, which included a career-best 39 point game. He also had 8.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals. Aldridge helped the Trail Blazers to a 3-0 week. He averaged 27.0 points and 11.7 rebounds. Aldridge posted a double-double in all three games, including a 39-point, 11-rebound effort.

Millsap helped the Hawks to a 4-0 record, part of their current six-game win streak. He averaged 18.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals.

Other nominees were the Cavaliers’ Kyrie Irving, Mavericks’ Monta Ellis, Warriors’ Klay Thompson, Rockets’ James Harden, Clippers’ Chris Paul, Pelicans’ Anthony Davis, Thunder’s Russell Westbrook, Magics’ Tobias Harris, 76ers’ Michael Carter-Williams, Suns’ Goran Dragic, Spurs’ Tim Duncan and Wizards’ John Wall.
