Hawks all-star forward Paul Millsap is a finalist for the Magic Johnson Award given by the Professional Basketball Writers Association.

The award is given annually to the player who combines excellence on the court with cooperation with the media and fans.

Other finalists for the award are the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony, the Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Draymond Green and the Trail Blazers’ Damien Lillard.

Recent winners of the award include the Bulls’ Pau Gasol, the Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki and the Heat’s Shane Battier

Millsap has been an Eastern Conference All-Star all three of his seasons with the Hawks.

The winner will be announced later this season after a vote by PBWA membership.
