The Hawks on Friday waived Quinn Cook, Tyler Cavanaugh and Jeremy Evans.

The team’s roster now stands at 14 players, one less than the maximum. That doesn’t include Josh Magette, who is on a “two-way” contract that allows a maximum of 45 days on the NBA roster with the balance of the season spent at the team’s G-League affiliate in Erie, Pa.

The Hawks also agreed to a trade with the Cavs for Richard Jefferson and Kay Felder. The Hawks waived both players Saturday morning after the trade became official.

The Hawks signed Cook in September to a contract that included $100,000 guaranteed. Another $300,000 of his total $1.3 million salary was to become guaranteed Wednesday.

Cavanaugh’s contract includes $50,000 guaranteed. He’s expected to join the Hawks’ G-League affiliate if he clears waivers.
