The Hawks dropped a 102-91 decision at the Spurs Saturday night in an exhibition game in which the visitors sat every projected starter.
The Hawks rested Dennis Schroder, Kyle Korver, Kent Bazemore and Dwight Howard after the group started in a win over the Grizzlies on Thursday. Paul Millsap sat out the game as he returns from a knee procedure.
The Hawks started a lineup of Malcolm Delaney, Tim Hardaway Jr, Taurean Prince, Mike Muscala and Edy Tavares.
Delaney and Prince led the Hawks (1-1) with 13 points apiece. Kris Humphries added 11 points. Tavares led the team with seven rebounds and Will Bynum had seven assists off the bench. Hardaway Jr. was 1 of 13 from the field.
The Spurs (1-1) were led by Tony Parker with 15 points in 19 minutes. Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points apiece.
In addition to Millsap (right knee rehabilitation), the Hawks played without Jarrett Jack (right knee rehabilitation), Tiago Splitter (right hamstring strain) and Mike Scott (left knee soreness).
The Hawks next host the Cavaliers on Monday in their exhibition home opener.
