The Hawks drafted Vanderbilt guard John Jenkins in the first round of the NBA draft Thursday night.

Atlanta took Jenkins with the 23rd overall pick.

Jenkins was a two-time SEC scoring champion.

Jenkins opted to forego his senior season at Vanderbilt.

Jenkins was a third team All-America selection this past season.
