A brief recap of the Hawks’ eighth straight win, in which they moved to 2-0 against the Wizards:

How the game was won: Kyle Korver — the NBA's leading 3-point shooter — made 5-of-7 from afar while scoring 19 points, and Atlanta never trailed while whipping Washington— the NBA's top 3-point shooting team — 120-89 at its own game. The Hawks made a season high-tying 16-of-31 from beyond the arc to 5-of-20 by the Wizards.

Atlanta led by just two late in the third quarter before blowing out to a 28-point lead in the fourth quarter. Every Hawks starter scored in double figures, as did seven Atlanta players overall. Jeff Teague had 11 points and 10 assists,

Turning point: Atlanta led just 69-67 after John Wall's jumper with 5:45 left in the third quarter when Atlanta launched a 16-2 run to leave the Wizards in the dust. Pero Antic and DeMarre Carroll made back-to-back 3-pointers in the middle of the run.

Number:49.1. The Hawks have made 49.1 percent of their 3-point shots in the past four games, hitting 52-of-106.

Next: The Hawks will play at Philadelphia Tuesday in the first of four consecutive road games against Eastern Conference opponents.
