The Atlanta Dream acquired Nia Coffey from Las Vegas in a three-team trade.

Coffey, a 6-foot-1 forward, will cost the Dream a 2020 second-round draft pick, which goes to the New York Liberty.

The Liberty sent veteran guard Sugar Rodgers to the Aces.

San Antonio drafted Coffey with the fifth pick of the 2017 WNBA draft. She currently is playing for Arka Gdynia in the Polish League. She also has played in Australia and in Israel since she was drafted.

She played in one game as a rookie for San Antonio and 10 games last season for Las Vegas.

“We are very excited to add Nia Coffey to our roster,” Dream coach Nicki Collen said in a statement released by the team. “Her combination of toughness, athleticism and skill will give us versatility at both the small forward and power forward position.”

In Coffey’s 11 WNBA games, she has averaged 10.8 minutes, 0.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.

The Dream begin a three-game exhibition schedule May 13 against the Dallas Wings in Uncasville, Conn. Their regular season begins at 7:30 p.m. May 24 at State Farm Arena, also against the Wings.
