The Hawks and Emory Healthcare announced Tuesday that Brasfield and Gorrie have been selected as the general contractor firm for the construction of the new practice facility.

Brasfield and Gorrie is a privately held firm that was the primary construction manager for Atlanta’s Georgia Aquarium and the College Football Hall of Fame. They are also part of a joint venture in construction of the Braves’ SunTrust Park.

The team will break ground on the 90,000-square foot training and sports medicine center this summer.
