After receiving criticism via social media, the Cleveland Cavaliers organization has issued an apology for a video that played at last night's game.

The team has been called tone deaf after promoting a video during last night’s game that some are saying promotes domestic violence.

The featured skit was supposed to be a humorous take on a scene from “Dirty Dancing” featuring a male Cavs fan and his girlfriend. When she reveals that she’s a Bulls fan, he tosses her to the ground.

Considering the array of domestic violence cases plaguing the NFL and other professional sports leagues recently, sports journalists and fans took to social media to air their disapproval.

The video has since been deleted from the team’s official Vimeo account.

The Cavaliers won last night’s game, 106-91.

As one Twitter user pointed out, United Healthcare made a similar parody.
