DeMarre Carroll had his status officially updated to probable for Friday’s game against the Pistons.

The Hawks’ starting small forward has missed the previous four games with a groin strain suffered in New York on Nov. 10.

Carroll has completed full practices the past two days. He told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Wednesday that he expected to play.

The Hawks went 2-2 without Carroll in the lineup.
