DeMarre Carroll will miss a second straight game due to a groin strain. The Hawks starting small forward has been ruled out of Friday’s game against the Heat. Carroll sat out the Hawks’ 100-97 win over the Jazz Wednesday.

Carroll was injured late in Monday’s game against the Knicks when he was sideswiped by J.R. Smith.

Mike Scott, who missed the Jazz game, will likely be available. He was listed as probable on the Hawks injury report.

Rookie Adreian Payne, who has yet to appear in a game this season, is recovered from the plantar fasciitis in his left foot. He was inactive for five games due to the injury. Mike Budenholzer said the forward/center was available Wednesday but did not play as a coach’s decision.
