Blake Griffin dunked over a car to win NBA’s slam-dunk contest at the 2011 All-Star weekend.

Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers won the 2011 NBA All-Star Dunk contest by executing an amazing stunt that has everyone talking.

A Kia Optima was driven onto the floor of the Staples Center. Dunking over a car was entirely Griffin's idea. Clippers point guard Baron Davis was in the driver's seat, and threw the ball to Griffin through the car's sun roof.

Griffin caught the ball cleanly and headed for the hoop.

Griffin's dunk over a car will go down in the history books. He's really set the bar high for next year's competition.

Griffin clears the car as he completes his dunk. The Clippers organization was not thrilled about the high-flying stunt, considering that Griffin had knee surgery last season after a preseason injury ended his rookie year.

Griffin hangs onto the rim as the ball flies through. He pulled off the stunt flawlessly.

After his "car-tastic" feat, Griffin was already thinking about defending his title. "I have to come up with something else. Maybe a boat next year," Griffin said.
