Where: Nationals Park, Washington

When: 7:05 p.m.

TV; radio: SPSO; 680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Shelby Miller (5-3, 1.99) vs. RH Jordan Zimmermann (5-5, 3.75)

What's new: With Freddie Freeman (wrist) on the disabled list — and his .520 average (13-for-25) in six games against the Nationals this season out of play — the Braves will turn to players like A.J. Pierzynski (6-for-15 with eight RBIs in four games against the Nationals) and Jace Peterson (7-for-18 with four RBIs in five games against the Nationals) to pick up the slack. Pedro Ciriaco has been a nice wild card off the bench lately for the Braves, going 2-for-2 with a couple of RBIs in the weekend sweep over the Mets. He went 5-for-8 with two doubles combined in his two starts against Boston, filling in for Andrelton Simmons. Simmons has been hot since he returned to the lineup but has struggled against Zimmermann, going 3-for-19 (.158) against him for his career.
