What's new: The Braves entered the last day of the month hitting .274 as a team in June, second in the National League behind only Colorado (.276), but they were just 11-15 for the month overall. Their 13 home runs in June tied Pittsburgh for the fewest in the National League. The Braves were eighth in runs scored with 102, but their production varied greatly from the first half of the month to the second. The Braves were averaging just 2.1 runs per game over their previous 10 games entering this homestand, after averaging 5.06 runs per game the first 16 games of June. That discrepancy coincides with when Freddie Freeman went down with a wrist injury. On the season the Braves entered this homestand 19-15 at Turner Field and just 17-25 on the road. The Braves had won 15 of their previous 22 games at home dating back to May 1st, including four of five on the previous homestand.
