1993: Greg Maddux, signed as a free agent in the offseason, pitched in his first game in a Braves uniform. He allowed no runs and just five hits in 8 1/3 innings in a win over the Cubs, his former team, at Wrigley Field.

2009: Jordan Schafer of the Braves strokes a home run in his first major league at bat at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

2010: Braves rookie Jason Heyward homers in his first major league at-bat too at Turner Field.

2015: The Braves traded closer Craig Kimbrel and outfielder Melvin Upton Jr. to the Padres for outfielders Carlos Quentin and Cameron Maybin, pitcher Matt Wisler, outfield prospect Jordan Paroubeck and a draft pick.
