The Braves will start Julio Teheran in Tuesday’s series opener against the Dodgers in place of originally scheduled starter Matt Wisler, who pitched the 10th inning Sunday for his first major league save. Teheran will face former Braves left-hander Alex Wood.

Wisler will be bumped to Thursday’s series finale against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, with Williams Perez starting Wednesday against Dodgers right-hander Ross Stripling.

Wisler was the seventh Atlanta pitcher used in Sunday’s extra-innings win, which completed a much-needed series sweep for the Braves following their 0-9 start.

Manager Fredi Gonzalez had said before the game that Wisler was available to pitch out of the bullpen, where theBraves were resting closer Arodys Vizcaino, who threw a career-high 35 pitches in a four-out save Friday, and Chris Withrow, who had pitched in back-to-back games and four times in five games. They used all five available relievers.

Vizcaino has had multiple elbow surgeries and missed the 2012 and 2013 seasons, so Gonzalez and pitching coaching Roger McDowell are being careful with their best reliever in the early season. Withrow missed most of the 2014 season and all of 2015 recovering from elbow and back surgeries.
