What's new: Juan Uribe homered in the series opener Friday night to give him four home runs — all solo shots — in his previous six games. Six of his seven home runs on the season have come since he was traded to the Braves. As a team, the Braves have homered four times in the first four games in July to put them into a tie for the third most this month in the National League. The Braves ranked 14th in the NL with 14 home runs for June. Uribe is just 1-for-14 (.071) in his career against Hamels. Cameron Maybin is hitting .375 (12-for-32) with four doubles and a triple in his career against Hamels. Hamels has limited Andrelton Simmons to 1-for-16 (.063).
