Sean Newcomb pitched seven innings of two-run baseball for Gwinnett Wednesday night in his second start since he was optioned by the Braves.

Newcomb (1-1) surrendered two runs on six hits and seven strikeouts, no walks, to pick up his first Triple-A win of the season — a, 7-6, victory over the Indianapolis Indians at Coolray Field.

Outfielder Ryan LaMarre, who launched a 411-foot leadoff home run, went 3-for-3 with a run scored, RBI and stolen base to lead the Stripers. Catcher Raffy Lopez went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Stripers reliever Thomas Burrows allowed an unearned run in the ninth inning but still earned the save — his fourth on the year.
