Baseball season in Atlanta is over. Baseball season for top Braves prospect Ronald Acuna is not - and he picked up where he left off with Triple-A Gwinnett.
On the first day of the Arizona Fall League, Acuna collected two singles and scored a run in a 3-1 Peoria win Tuesday. The Braves’ No. 1 prospect and No. 10 overall (per Baseball America) is expected to fill an outfield spot in Atlanta on opening day 2018.
Scouts will be present over the next month to watch Acuna and other up-and-comers in Arizona. So far, so good on Acuna’s early impression.
His two hits overshadow quiet days for Braves catching prospect Alex Jackson and third base prospect Austin Riley, who combined to go 0-for-7.
