Ronald Acuna has caught fire since moving to leadoff, but his efforts in the fourth inning Wednesday were his perhaps his most impressive yet.

Acuna homered to extend the Braves’ lead to 7-1 against the Nationals. It was his 12th shot of the season, fifth since moving to the leadoff role July 20.

As if that wasn’t enough, Acuna outperformed his bat with his glove in the bottom of the frame. He tracked down a would-be Matt Adams homer to center, leaping at the 402 mark and robbing the former Brave of a home run.

“I’d have to say the home run,” Acuna said via an interpreter when asked which play he enjoyed more. “But honestly it felt almost as good to rob that one as well.”

Acuna entered the season as baseball’s No. 1 prospect because of his five-tool potential. He showed every bit of it Wednesday.
